Opportunity Knocks
Opportunity Knocks is a committee that enables the Junior League to respond to immediate, one-time requests that do not fit the standard proposal development process. This committee provides volunteers and monetary grants to a wide range of community agencies not already supported by our established projects. The committee is also responsible for Kids in the Kitchen.
This is a four-year-old program that addresses the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition. Over 215 Junior Leagues throughout the nation have participated in the program this year, which includes free local events and hands-on activities that empower children to adopt healthy habits with the support of their caregivers.
